Louis XV  period chest of drawer with rosewood and violet wood veneer. The curved front opens to five drawers on three rows. The whole is richly decorated with gilded and chased bronzes on the keyholes, the handles and the feet. It is also decorated with falls in bronze. The top is embellished with a grey marbleof Saint-Anne. The drawers can be locked. The furniture is stamped L. PELLETIER.

Denis-Louis Pelletier  was a cabinetmaker in the Faubourg Saint-Germain. He was awarded the title of Master on 2 July 1760 and is listed until 1789. He also owned a furniture shop in which cabinetmakers such as Topino worked.
