Important column Louis XIV-style, tripod, carved and richly ornamented gilded wood, forming a torch-holder. The triangular shaft is flanked by motifs of candelabras, fleurons, lambrequins and shells, and supports a circular wooden top with gadroons. The ensemble rests on a tripod base with acanthus leaf scrolls. The tripartite design gives our column a light, slender look. Initially designed to hold a candelabra, this model will enhance a sculpture or decorative vase.
