TABLE LAMP "6580 SUPER" BY KARL TRABERT & G. SCHANZENBACH & CO

Table lamp model "6580 Super"designed by Karl Trabert and published by G. Schanzenbach & Co. in the 1930s and 1940s. This modernist lamp is a great classic of 20th century design. Little is known about Karl Trabert, except that he was in contact with modernists such as Gropius and Breuer, leaders of the Bauhaus. This pure lamp is carefully crafted. Its large black enamelled metal reflector is parallelogrammed and remains parallel to the work surface when aligned. Steel base and stem, black lacquered wooden sleeve. Very good original condition (small lacquered spots on the reflector).
