Pair of early 19th century oval miniatures. These are portraits of Baron and Baroness Louis Jacques Amiot in two wooden frames decorated with gilded metal palmettes and foliate scrolls. These two 19th-century paintings are signed and dated "H. Mercier" and "H. Mercier 1833", the former inscribed on the back "Baronne Louis Jacques Amiot née Aglaé Louise Tage 1833" and the latter "Baron Louis Jacques Amiot 1828". With their original mounts. Charles X period, Circa: 1833 Dim: W:9,5cm, D:1cm, H:9cm. The portraits are in good condition. The frames have slight traces of wear and minor damage to the wood.
