Important alabaster statue of a mythological couple, signed "C. CIPRIANI". The young couple is leaning against a pilaster decorated with a masqueron. The two lovers, about to kiss, are nude, with wet-effect drapery draped over their bodies. The young man, a little higher up, places his hand on the woman's waist, while she takes him by the shoulder. Their opposite hands are joined. At their feet are flowers and cut-out leather motifs. This work dates from the 19th century. Circa: 1850 Dim: W:24cm, D:23cm, H:62cm. One thumb slightly broken, base angle restored
