An important twelve-light chandelier in gilt and chased bronze. The fluted central shaft is decorated with superimposed seeds, water leaves, and a frieze of posts. It supports sinuous, coiled branches surmounted by crystal daggers. The gilt bronze frame is adorned with acanthus leaves, rosette motifs, bearded satyr masks, and female faces. The ceiling canopy is crowned with a cascading drapery decorated with fleur-de-lis. Each candle holder is embellished with cut crystal drops. The chandelier is finished at the bottom with a blue lacquered metal decoration and a pine cone.
