Online Art Gallery - Antiques & Works of Art

Who are we ?

A family-run antique gallery

Founded in 2001 by Frédéric Sioufi and Nidal Ouaiss , the gallery was established in the heart of Paris, at the Louvre des Antiquaires , a stone's throw from the Louvre Museum. The couple, united by life and a shared passion for works of art, have been developing their expertise in furniture, decorative objects, and collectibles from the 18th to the 20th centuries for nearly 25 years. Frédéric Sioufi, a former financial market trader, and Nidal Ouaiss, an art historian and daughter of antique dealers, have combined their strengths to create a gallery with a diverse and carefully curated selection.

The Gallery now has three locations in France:

The Château de Peyraud , where furniture and decorative objects from the 18th and 19th centuries

The Ouaiss Antiquités Gallery , in the heart of Paris, for collectibles

The Design showroom located in Le Vésinet, where 20th century Design pieces are exhibited

The Founders of the Atena Gallery and owners of the Château de Peyraud

"Since 2001, we have selected each piece for its beauty, authenticity, and state of preservation. Our quest for rarity and quality of craftsmanship guarantees a selection whose value depends neither on fashion trends nor speculation. Curious and bold, we do not hesitate to invest in unusual pieces. Our greatest satisfaction is sharing this pleasure with our clients and building lasting relationships based on trust and a love of beautiful things."

The Origins of the Atena Gallery

They understood the importance of digital technology very early on and were among the pioneers of online sales in their field . The early development of the website allowed them to weather the decline in visitors to the Louvre des Antiquaires .

In 2014 , the Atena Gallery left the Louvre des Antiquaires to move to Le Vésinet , into a superb architect-designed house from 1969 converted into a guest gallery, dedicated to 20th century design furniture.

At the same time, a large showroom is opening in Montesson to display decorative objects and furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries. On-site, a large restoration and packaging workshop, as well as a photography studio, complete the facilities. This integrated value chain allows for cost optimization and attractive pricing.

A New Chapter for the Atena Gallery: Peyraud Castle

The Château de Peyraud, an event venue and antiques gallery

Today, a new chapter begins for the Atena Gallery , which has moved into the magnificent Château de Peyraud in the Rhône Valley. A new setting for the gallery's collection and a place for welcoming visitors, meeting new people, and creating art.

Galerie Ouaiss , located on rue de Miromesnil in the 8th arrondissement of Paris , a stone's throw from Place Beauvau and the Élysée Palace, in the heart of Paris's antique district , is a family-run gallery dedicated to small, precious, and collectible objects . Nidal Ouaiss currently manages the gallery and welcomes clients by appointment only to discover her collection of small, precious, and collectible objects : sumptuous snuffboxes and gold boxes adorned with precious stones, enamels on gold, or micromosaics; opaline and crystal pieces from the Charles X period; splendid curiosities in Viennese enamel; precious caskets; and more.
