The Office (or Boudoir)

A haven of light where time slows down... Soft wood paneling, a marble fireplace, and Zuber wallpaper that opens the room onto dreamlike landscapes. You sit, you listen, and you imagine the pen gliding by. In this ideal setting, we've set up our office in the Louis XV style, with its gracefully curved desk and Rococo clocks, accented with a few Louis XVI touches...

Louis XV style desk at the Château de Peyraud
A cylinder desk decorated with a magnificent Louis XVI clock and two biscuit porcelain figures

On a Louis XVI marquetry roll-top desk, enhanced with gilt bronze mounts, sits a Louis XVI clock with an enamel dial, flanked by two porcelain figurines depicting draped women: a young woman in a ball gown and the girl with the broken jug. Placed on the desk, a pair of celestial and terrestrial globes by Vincenzo Coronelli, with their graduated circles and wooden bases, recall the scholarly and travel-oriented spirit that animated this place of study.

A very beautiful cabinet mounted with a terracotta bust, suitable for use as a desk

Bathed in the light from the large window, our Louis XV style desk, adorned with gilt bronze mounts, sits alongside an elegant cabinet crowned with a terracotta bust by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux; to the right, a mahogany armchair embellished with chased bronze complements a commode rich gilt bronze mounts. A beautiful composition of varied styles forming a coherent and elegant whole.
