A 1950s cherrywood living room cabinet in the style of Guillerme & Chambron for Votre Maison. The suspended body rests on four saber legs joined by a large stretcher. The front features three drawers, each topped with a solid door decorated with two-tone ceramic tiles in stylized animal motifs. Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) were the two French designers behind the Votre Maison brand, a renowned workshop manufacturing furniture, fittings, and interior design pieces in the 1950s. Their style is robust, rustic, and authentic, typical of the post-war movement. They used waxed oak and ceramic for door knobs, living room tables, and side tables. Design era, Circa: 1950.
