Porcelain vase signed Jacob PETIT. It is composed of a main mouthpiece in the form of an openwork cornucopia and three smaller mouthpieces. It is richly decorated with flowers in realistic relief, polychrome and gilding. The small cambered legs are adorned with masks and arabesques. The vase is signed J.P. for "Jacob Petit" underneath. This is a mid-19th century work. Jacob PETIT (1796-1868) or Jacob Mordochée was an ornamental porcelain manufacturer known for the richness of his colors, the technical quality and the extravagance of his pieces. He founded several factories, notably in Fontainebleau, and was recognized as a great creator. Circa: 1850 Dim: W:22cm, D:22cm, H:35cm. Condition report: In good condition.
