A dressing mirror rests on a rectangular base supported by four shell-shaped feet. Supported by two stylized scrolls, the mirror's frame is decorated with a Greek key frieze, each corner adorned with a flower. The top of the mirror is embellished with scrolls, flowers, and shells. During the Restoration period, the decorative arts became more pleasant and agreeable, aiming to charm the public rather than exalt them to heroism. A restrained style, reflecting peace and the gentle pace of life, replaced the warlike symbols of the Empire.
