A Louis XV period commode veneered in violet wood, opening with four drawers in three rows. Richly mounted with rocaille bronze mounts, including corner mounts, feet, drawer pulls, keyhole escutcheons, and apron. It is topped with a red Flanders marble slab. Stamped by Jean-François Lapie, received as a master on December 17, 1763, and bearing the guild mark. JME.
Condition report: good condition with restorations, bronzes cleaned with their original gilding, sanded, veneer repaired and French polished. Original marble.
