A carved and molded wooden tea table decorated with shells and foliage. This typical Art Nouveau piece features two scalloped-edge tabletops in polychrome marquetry of iris flowers and oak, sycamore, and maple leaves. The upper tabletop rests on four scrolled brackets adorned with acanthus leaves. Our Art Nouveau tea table has two side handles in chased and gilded bronze for easy carrying. Circa 1900.
What is a tea table?
