A sculpted alabaster figure of Artemis, goddess of the hunt, wearing a short tunic and Roman sandals. She fastens her cloak over her right shoulder with a fibula. Our sculpture is a late 19th-century replica of Artemis, also known as Diana of Gabii, a Roman marble sculpture from the time of Emperor Tiberius, discovered during excavations in 1792 at Gabii, Italy, and now in the Louvre Museum. It rests on a stepped rectangular base.
