ALEXANDRE OULINE, "WOMAN WITH PANTHERS"

A bronze group with a nuanced brown patina depicting a woman with two panthers. The woman is holding one of them. The two animals and the young trainer rest on a stepped black marble base. Signed in relief on the base: "Ouline" (for Alexandre Ouline, an Art Deco sculptor active from 1918 to 1940), and stamped "BRONZE" on the feet of the woman and the two panthers. Art Deco period, circa 1920. Dimensions: W: 68cm, D: 18.5cm, H: 29cm. In good condition, with minor chips to the marble.
