The history of glass dates back to antiquity. In ancient Egypt, glass objects were considered luxury items. Translucent or transparent, fragile yet also very resistant once worked by glass artisans, glass fascinates with its properties and the finesse of its cut or engraved decorations.

At Galerie Atena, we have a beautiful collection of antique glassware from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, including crystal and glass objects: vases, candlesticks, votive candle holders, pitchers, jewelry boxes, drink sets, and other tableware. Our collection is complemented by a selection of pink and milky white decorated by Desvignes . From shaped pieces and Murano chandeliers to perfume bottles , discover our blown, cut, and molded glass objects signed by Jean-Baptiste Desvignes or the Portieux crystalworks . Among the shaped pieces are decanters, plates, glasses, and Baccarat crystal "silent servants."
