A bronze group with a shaded brown patina depicting three putti on a rocky ground scattered with sheaves of wheat. Two of them are seated and playing a drum and a bagpipe while the third is standing and dancing. He is dressed in a flowing drape and wears a necklace. The outlines of castanets can be seen in his hands. This allegorical scene illustrates the annual festival celebrating the wheat harvest in the countryside. The pyramidal composition gives a perfect balance to this dynamic scene. Beautiful work of the patina. The whole rests on an oblong base in pink marble with steps.
