A rectangular console box with a gilt bronze frame enclosing mother-of-pearl plaques engraved with foliage and floral motifs. The lid opens with a large central medallion depicting fabric flowers cut out beneath a domed glass. The glass is surrounded by a gilt brass gallery. The box rests on four lion's head feet terminating in winged lion's paws, supported by a slender stretcher. With original label marked: "135 X. Louis XVII Jewel Casket. Ormolu & Pearl. £4.10.0". Charles X period. In good used condition with slight signs of wear in places. Charles X period, circa 1820. Dimensions: W: 13cm, D: 9cm, H: 10cm.
