A beautiful Art Deco display cabinet from 1930, by Charles Dudouyt, crafted from wood with a gunmetal bronze frame. It opens with two glass doors and features five glass shelves. The base rests on a wooden plinth, and the interior walls are lined with cream fabric. Charles Dudouyt (1885-1946) was a French decorator and furniture designer whose pieces were produced and distributed by "La Gentilhommière" (1933-1960). He began his artistic career as a painter and draftsman. In 1918, he designed and commissioned the manufacture of floor lamps and various decorative objects, before founding a furniture factory, L'Abeillée, in 1920. In 1933, he moved to Paris and established La Gentilhommière , which included a workshop and a showroom. After his death in 1946, his son Jacques Dudouyt continued the activity of the Gentilhommière until 1960.
