An important biscuit porcelain group depicting "Cupid and Psyche." Psyche, a young woman of legendary beauty, is caught in the act of combing her hair, assisted by Cupid who holds the mirror. The goddess is depicted nude, her body reflecting the Greek ideal of beauty. Her slightly contrapposto pose, reclining, emphasizes the curves of her body and reveals her sensuality.
