A carved wooden liquor cabinet known as a "Black Forest" liquor cabinet. This charming late 19th-century liquor cabinet is decorated with floral motifs, a pine cone, a satchel, a hat, a rifle, and a powder tin, and features four beveled glass cartouches on the top, back, and sides. The set comprises four crystal decanters with gold trim and their stoppers, as well as sixteen small stemmed glasses adorned with stylized vine leaves and gold-painted trim. A removable stand, secured by a gilt bronze handle, holds the glassware and is carved with floral and vegetal motifs. The lid is decorated with stylized ivy branches framing a glass window. This liquor service opens with a small key and is accessed from the top. The entire piece rests on four toupie feet. Crystal liquor cabinets were an essential piece of dining room furniture between the mid-18th and mid-19th centuries.
