Rectangular console box with gilded bronze structure framing mother-of-pearl plaques engraved with foliage and floral motifs. The lid opens to reveal a large central medallion depicting fabric flowers cut under a curved glass. The glass is surrounded by a gilded brass gallery. The box rests on four lion-headed feet terminating in winged lion paws, held in place by a thin spacer. With original label marked: "135 X. Louis XVII Jewel Casket. Ormolu & Pearl. £4.10.0". Charles X period. In good used condition with light traces of wear in places. Charles X period, Circa: 1820 Dim: W:13cm, D:9cm, H:10cm.
