A bronze sculpture with a green patina by Georges Bareau, representing an allegory of History. An early Barbedienne cast. Signed on the side: "GEORGES BAREAU", and on the back: "F. BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR PARIS". Bears the inscription "Souvenir des Boulangers de l'Oise 1926-1927". This sculpture is also known as "La poésie" (Poetry) or "L'appel aux armes" (The Call to Arms). 20th century, circa 1927. Dimensions: W: 42cm, D: 20cm, H: 50cm. In very good condition, with minor signs of age.
