A bronze sculpture with a brown patina by Charles-Alphonse Gumery , depicting a smiling young woman cradling two doves. She is shown nude, draped in a garment held by a shoulder strap. This bronze statuette is signed "Gumery ROME".

Charles Gumery most likely created this bronze during his stay at the Villa Medici in Rome.

Circa: 1860

Condition report : The bronze is in very good condition, with a beautiful patina and golden highlights. There is a join on the right arm, a result of the lost-wax casting technique used. With this process, the different elements of a statue (arms, legs, torso, etc.) are cast separately and then assembled.
