BRONZE SCULPTURE "THE SONG OF THE WILLOW" BY ÉDOUARD DROUOT (1859-1945)

A bronze sculpture with a nuanced brown patina by Édouard Drouot, for which the artist received a medal. This allegorical sculpture depicts a young woman seated on a branch by the water's edge, playing the flute. Signed in relief on the back: "E. Drouot". Titled in a cartouche on the base: "LE CHANT DU SAULE PAR DROUOT (MÉDAILLÉ)" (The Song of the Willow by Drouot (Medailed)). An early cast, Art Nouveau period. Late 19th century, circa 1900. Dimensions: W: 26cm, D: 13cm, H: 56cm. In very good condition.
