A four-tone bronze vase: gilt bronze, silvered bronze, and a dark brown and caramel patina. Two dragonflies on either side of the vase simulate handles. Both sides are decorated with stylized motifs of finely chased silvered and gilt thistle plants within ovoid frames. Unidentified foundry or artist's mark is present beneath the vase. Made around 1925 in Japan in the Art Deco style. Circa: 1925
