Perfume burner and inkwell in finely chased, patinated and gilded bronze, featuring a bowl decorated with rows of pearls and foliage, supported by a baluster foot and three coiled snakes. The lid, pierced with holly leaves, is topped by a seed-shaped socket. On either side of the bowl, cups resting on four-lobed leaves with fleurons and four feather holders. The ensemble rests on a patinated bronze tray, decorated with vine branches around the rim, and set on four claw feet. This object is distinguished by the combination of gilded and patinated bronze, and the extreme finesse of the chasing. Restoration period, Circa: 1815 Dim: W:23cm, D:12,5cm, H:18,5cm.
