Blackened wood cabinet with fluted columns with advanced Corinthian capitals and arched sides topped by a white marble top set into the structure. The cabinet is decorated with chased and gilded bronzes. The belt is decorated with musical instruments. The medallion depicts an allegory of Love with two figures dressed in antique style, behind whom a blazing inferno burns on an altar. It is topped by a knotted ribbon. The rest of the decor is composed of trophies, foliage, flowers and water leaves. A main leaf opens with a key onto 3 shelves. There are two gilded-bronze lock escutcheons: one real and one feigned on the opposite side. The key is adorned with a fleur-de-lys. This work is representative of theNapoleon III period in the 19th century. Circa: 1860.
