

















NAPOLEON III SIDEBOARD IN BLACKENED WOOD AND GOLD BRONZES
Blackened wood cabinet with fluted columns with advanced Corinthian capitals and arched sides topped by a white Marbletop set into the structure. The cabinet is decorated with chased and gilded bronzes. The belt is decorated with musical instruments. The medallion represents an allegory of Love with two figures dressed in antique style, behind them a blazing inferno is burning on an altar. It is topped by a knotted ribbon. The rest of the decorations are composed of trophies, foliage, flowers and water leaves. A main door opens with a key to three shelves. There are two gilded lock entrances in bronze : one real and one fake opposite. The key is decorated with a fleur-de-lis. This work is representative of theNapoleon III period in the 19th century.
