Bust of a young woman from the Belle Epoque period, in bronze with a golden patina, resting on a green Alpine marble base on a grey sainte Anne counter base. The smiling young woman is wearing a ribbon tied around her neck, and her hair is tied in a high bun. The accent is on the décolleté of her flower-adorned blouse. It's almost as if her smile is emerging from a bouquet of flowers. Signed and engraved V Bryneel Paris on the back.

Victor Léopold BRUYNEEL was a Belgian sculptor born in 1859 who worked in Paris, producing mainly female busts.

Bronze height: 40 cm.

Condition report: some light wear to the patina and chips to the marble.
