Bust in white Carrara marble representing a "Young woman with laurel wreath" on an alabaster pedestal in the Art Nouveau style. The young woman's face is expressive and graceful, her gaze skyward. Her cheekbones are hollowed out and her lips slightly pursed. The particularly elaborate eyes are enhanced by chiselled lashes. The cut of the marble allows a brilliant light to emanate, revealing fine features. The headdress is tied slightly back and appears to be held in place by a veil. A laurel wreath adorns her headdress. This marble bust of a woman can be associated with the production of the entourage of the sculptor Affortunato Gory.
