A rectangular box made of blown and cut crystal. The box is decorated with a "bamboo" cut. The crystal is set in a gilt bronze mount adorned with finely chiseled floral bands created using a roulette wheel. The lock is decorated with a cornucopia motif. The fineness of the crystal cut and the quality of the bronze burnishing make this box representative of the utilitarian and decorative objects of the early Restoration period, particularly those produced at Le Creusot.
Work from the first part of the 19th century.
