A large rosewood veneer bookcase with a curved top, adorned with marquetry stringing and ivory inlay. It features three glazed doors with glass shelves, and three lower compartments with hinged doors, each revealing two storage spaces separated by a wooden shelf. The entablature is decorated with scrolling foliage, palmettes, and florets, and the hinged doors are adorned with vases of flowers, garlands, and foliate volutes. The keyhole escutcheons are embellished with ivory motifs. In very good condition with minor restorations to the veneer. Charles X period, circa 1820. Dimensions: W: 170cm, D: 57cm, H: 245cm.
