A coffee table with six small drawers in rosewood veneer by Gianfranco Frattini for the Italian manufacturer Bernini. The six-drawer model is rarely seen. In good condition. Gianfranco Frattini (1926-2004) was an Italian designer renowned for his mastery of wood. He participated in the Italian design revival that began in the late 1950s. He studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan and graduated in 1953. He met Gio Ponti, with whom he began his first collaboration. He quickly went on to work with Cassina, then Knoll, Artemide, Bernini, and Fantoni. In 1956, he co-founded the Association for Industrial Design with several other designers.
