Consulat mahogany and mahogany veneer chest of drawers & secretary

A mahogany and mahogany veneer bedroom set from the Consulat retour d'Egypte period (circa: 1795) comprising :

- A mahogany and mahogany veneer chest of drawers with columns veneered with Egyptian heads in gilt bronze. It opens with 3 drawers in the waist, resting on lion's paw feet painted in imitation of antique bronze, double-barrel locks, top in Flanders gray granite marble.

- A straight mahogany and mahogany veneered secretary with flat columns veneered with gilt-bronze Egyptian heads. It opens on the front with a drawer, a flap revealing pigeonholes and small drawers including a secret drawer. The lower part opens with 2 leaves, resting on lion's paw feet painted in imitation of antique bronze, cloverleaf locks, top in Granit des Flandres marble.

Dim: W: 119cm, D: 60cm, H: 86cm.

Dimensions secretary:
Dim: W: 85cm, D: 42cm, H: 138cm.

Condition report: In good condition, varnish restoration with stamp. Original gilding.
