A column-shaped pedestal in purple breccia marble and gilt bronze. It features a rotating square top. The composite gilt bronze capital displays acanthus leaves and volutes, as well as a sunflower on each face. The ringed gilt bronze base is adorned with a ribboned fluting pattern. The entire piece rests on a stepped base supported by four small bronze feet. The rich colors of the marble make it a particularly elegant decorative element that will beautifully showcase a vase or sculpture.
