Large half moon shaped console in carved and gilded wood. It rests on four fluted legs, connected by a spacer decorated with a vase and rich garlands of flowers. The belt decorated with oves and interlacing, supports a garland of flowers with a trophy in the centre. The latter is composed of a quiver (allusion to Cupid and gallant victories) and a torch (symbol of noble heroes), joined by a ribbon. This Louis XVI style console has a large Vert de Mer marble top. Circa 1860 Dim: W:130cm, D:53cm, H:86cm. In good condition, with slight wear and restorations to the gilding.
