GILT-BRONZE CRYSTAL CLOCK WITH GENIE DECOR, RESTORATION PERIOD

A gilt and chased bronze and cut crystal clock. It depicts two winged children kneeling on two pedestals, each holding a leafy garland. They support a half-cap of cut crystal, in a diamond-point pattern, into which the guilloché and partially enameled dial is set. The pendulum is decorated with a putto on clouds, holding a torch. The whole rests on a rectangular base decorated with two genii clinging to a basket of flowers, each holding a drapery. The base consists of four feet shaped like acorns. The original movement has been serviced, cleaned, and is in working order. This clock is sold with its glass globe and key. Restoration period. Good condition.
