A mahogany and gilt bronze gueridon in the "Egyptian Revival" style, resting on a central pedestal and tripod base surmounted by three blackened wood columns with Corinthian capitals and topped by chased and gilt bronze sphinxes. The apron and the edge of the top are decorated with festoons, rosettes, and stylized foliage arranged in a frieze. The top is inlaid with wood and floral motifs. Napoleon III period. Very good condition. A "Egyptian Revival" style salon suite comprising a sofa, two chairs, and two armchairs with Egyptian-inspired motifs is also available. 19th century, circa 1860.
