A small Empire period mantel clock in chased and gilt bronze, decorated with a draped spinner with an antique-style headdress, leaning on a basket of flowers between a lyre and a ewer. The base is adorned with a medallion depicting a winged Cupid within a frame of scrolls and palmettes. The base houses the white enamel dial, marked "ROSSEL à Rouen". This mantel clock rests on four toupie feet. The mechanism is a later addition with a blade, protected by a glass cover on the back. Circa 1810
