An Empire period bed in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, richly decorated with finely chased and gilded bronze mounts, and featuring a canopy. The front of the bed is adorned with a central lyre, framed by two tapered legs with shafts decorated with caducei and laurel-crowned busts of Mercury surmounted by a ball. The front has a crossbar with palmettes and laurel wreaths. The headboard, with two uprights flanked by finials, is surmounted by a scrolled pediment featuring a cup-shaped motif between foliate scrolls, a Medusa head, and two laurel wreaths. It is furnished with a mattress (180 x 85 cm) and three cushions. The canopy is upholstered in a yellow jacquard fabric with a bee motif.
The bed canopy is adjustable and can be adjusted up to 4m in height.
