A small inkwell dating from the early 19th century. The lid depicts a bed upon which a putto has fallen asleep. The entire piece rests on a rectangular base adorned with an egg-and-dart frieze and four foliate hoof feet. It comprises two compartments: a porcelain inkwell and a powder compartment, as well as two pen holders. Circa 1850
