Bronze sculpture with brown patina "Nymph with poppies" signed Gustave OBIOLS. This statue represents a young woman walking with a walking stick in her left hand. Her head is topped with a crown of poppy flowers and leaves on a loose bun. Her bare chest is draped in a cloak held in place by an ornate belt and strap. She is wearing sandals. In her hand she holds a bouquet of poppy flowers. The terrace, treated like a rock, is decorated with leaves and signed G. Obiols. The bronze bears the EU mark and the founder's stamp "Médaille d'Or Paris". It is a sand casting. This work is influenced by the Art Nouveau movement which particularly likes the poppy motif and the sinuous lines as in the hair of this figure.
