A large rectangular Baccarat crystal box, finely cut and engraved, dating from the 19th century. The frame is made of bronze silvered. The lower part is decorated with gem motifs in diamond. The upper part is carved with friezes of flowers inscribed in lozenges on the edges. The lid is engraved with foliage around a central sunflower. The lock entrance is made of metal.
Baccarat has been world-renowned for its splendid crystal objects since its creation in 1764 by King Louis XV. Today, Baccarat is considered Europe's largest crystal manufacturer.
