A "Falcon" armchair in brown leather and beech wood, designed by Sigurd Ressell in the 1970s and produced by Vatne Möbler in the 1980s. In good condition, with minor signs of wear. Sigurd Ressell (1920-2010) was a Norwegian designer who greatly influenced Scandinavian design. He studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Crafts, Art and Industry, graduating in 1947. Ressell submitted one of his designs to a competition. It caught the eye of Niels Vodder, a designer who regularly collaborated with Finn Juhl, a leading figure in design. In 1958, Ressell received an award for his SR 600 chair at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibitions. Ressell designed numerous steel and leather armchairs, sofas, and chairs. In 1971, he designed the iconic Falcon chair. Produced for thirty years by the company Vatne Möbler, it enjoyed enormous success. Design era, Circa: 1980. Dimensions: W: 79cm, D: 79cm, H: 81cm.
