Art Deco armchair in Rio rosewood veneer with two armrests. The back and rear leg are a single concave piece. The circular seat is upholstered in leather. Art Deco period. The symmetrical style, devoid of right angles, of this chair reflects the sensual style of Art Deco in the 1930s. Craftsmen worked with simple, geometric forms, in this case the circle, inspired by Cubism. Furthermore, the use of an exotic wood demonstrates the new interest in exoticism and the desire to create opulent objects industrially.
