A German walnut cabinet with two rows of three drawers arranged laterally, and in the center a set of ten small drawers set back around a small door that opens to reveal a checkerboard pattern. The three sides are mirrored. The drawer fronts are veneered with end grain, allowing the vertical grain to be seen. The checkerboard pattern and the cabinet's front frame are inlaid with amaranth. The small central door is decorated with an inlaid flower. The six side drawers and the central door are fitted with chased and gilt bronze locks decorated with putti.
