A richly carved gilt bronze frame adorned with garlands of flowers, roses, and intricately formed leafy scrolls, terminating in foliate tendrils. Openwork interlacing adorns the sides, and a mascaron crowned with a shell crowns the top, completing this beautiful piece, so characteristic of the Regency style. Napoleon III period, circa 1860.
