The House of Aucoc was founded in 1821 by Casimir Aucoc on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Initially, it specialized in boxes, toiletry sets, and travel cases. In 1836, it was managed by Jean-Baptiste Aucoc. The House of Aucoc then expanded its expertise to include goldsmithing and jewelry. During the Second Empire, Louis Aucoc (1850-1932) directed the company, and he won a medal at the 1855 Universal Exhibition, which was attended by Queen Victoria accompanied by Napoleon III.
