A very important bronze sculpture with a brown patina from the Empire period. The bronze depicts an antique woman with a crown, or "Victory." The young woman, standing, holds a laurel wreath in her hands raised above her head. Her hair is tied in a chignon, and she is draped in a garment that lightly covers her body and is sculpted to create an effect of movement. The young woman also wears gilt bronze armbands. She rests on a hemisphere, itself placed on a square black marble base. Circa: 1810.
Base dimensions: 26 x 26 cm.
Condition report: In good condition with wear to the patina, particularly on the arms.
